Emma Filippides

I am an independent architectural researcher living and working in Ghent, Belgium.

With a background in conceptual design and architectural history, I have worked on the delivery of publications, events and exhibitions within urban research organisations and have partnered with architectural and curatorial offices on a variety of practice-based projects.

Modern Finsbury

Research for an architectural walking tour.

In collaboration with architect Ben Rea, I regularly travel to London to run this tour for The Architecture Foundation.

Working Papers

A publication and architectural history symposium.

I was designer and editor of Working Papers, an edited collection of research by the 2018 architectural history MA cohort at The Bartlett. Additionally, I was co-organiser and chair of the Working Papers symposium and publication launch.

An exhibition and event.

The exhibition included ten artists’ books produced as part of a site-writing practice. The exhibition and performative readings of these projects took place at The Bartlett, UCL for the 2018 Bloomsbury Festival.
